Notes

Error correction adds redundant data so the code still scans when partly damaged or obscured. L is fine for clean screens; M is the common default; Q/H make sense for print, stickers or codes that might get scuffed. Higher levels also mean a denser code for the same text.

Keep it short. A QR code grows with its content — a short URL stays chunky and easy to scan from a distance, while hundreds of characters produce a fine grid that needs a close, steady camera. If your URL is long, a link shortener helps.

Formatting is up to you. Scanners just receive the encoded text: plain text opens as text, https://… opens as a link, and formats like WIFI:T:WPA;S:name;P:password;; or a vCard are recognised by phones that support them.
